Last day, The Kerala government has introduced driver’s licenses in the form of smart cards. Transport Minister Antony Raju said Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan will introduce the smart card system, which has been manufactured using PVC PETG. The new smart card driving license is equipped with seven security features, have been developed in accordance with the standards of the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways.
The security highlights are serial number, UV symbol, guilloche design, microtext, hot stamping visualization, QR code, and optically variable ink, most of which are display in an Aadhaar smart card. After the long term demand of the malayalees, the motor vehicle department announce that smart driving license card with more than seven security features are available. The smart driving license card is designed as per the ministry of road transport and highways.
Kerala Chief Minister Pinaray Vijay inaugurated the smart driver’s license on April 20 along with Transport Minister Antony Raju. Those who want to have a new smart driving license will have to pay Rs.200. But after one year, this rate will be increased to Rs.1200, including the postal fee. 1) Visit the official website ” www.parivahan.gov.in website”.
2) Select the option” License Related Service” in Online Services.
3) Select the State of Kerala.
4) Click on the icon Replacement of DL
5) Select the RTO and generate the application.
6) Scan and upload the original license clearly on both sides.
7) Complete the online application by paying the prescribed fee.
