by Under the Digital India program, the Ministry of Electronics & IT (MeitY)has developed the app DigiLocker. DigiLocker aims at ‘Digital Empowerment of citizens By providing access to authentic digital documents in citizens’ digital document wallets, this app targets at empowerment of citizens. In all over India, documents saved in the DigiLocker will now be considered valid. It is safe, secure, and free. You can keep documents such as Driving licenses, RC, educational certificates, birth certificates, PAN cards, Aadhaar cards, Passports, and Voter IDs on a mobile phone through this application. Not only app but can also sign into digilocker.gov.in.
Fter entering the website or open the installed Digilocker application, create an account. Use your Aadhaar number to create a digital locker account. Make sure that your current mobile number is linked with the Aadhaar number. One created, you cannot delete or change the user name of the Digilocker account. If your Aadhaar number is connected to Digilocker, then your Aadhaar number will be linked to your Digilocker account permanently.
As per the announcement of India’s Ministry of Electronic and Information Technology, You can able to access various official documents via popular messaging app’ WhatsApp’ application.
How to Access Digilocker In Whatsapp ?
- Save the number +919013151515 in your contact list.
- Open a WhatsApp account.
- Send Namaste or Hi or Digilocker to WhatsApp number.
- You will receive the message ‘Do You want to have a DigiLocker account? With options yes or no.
- If select no, it will request your Aadhar number.
- Enter the Aadhar number, and you will receive OTP on the aadhar linked registered number.
- Send a list of services provided by Digilocker Helpdesk.
After the completion of process (above mentioned), the Digilocker Help Desk will share all the documents with WhatsApp. But before this, make sure that you have already keep the documents in the Digilocker processor. The Digilocker app which is available in Google Play Store and Apple App Store.
