by The National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) Srinagar, set up in 1986 by the Ministry of Textiles under Government of India, has announced a notification regarding the recruitment for various posts. The organisation invites applications through online mode for the following Group-C posts on direct recruitment on Long Term Contract basis for a period of 03 years. STENO GRADE-III : Those applicants who have completed Graduate from a recognized University/ Institute and must have minimum speed of 80 wpm in shorthand and 40 wpm in typing, should have minimum 2 years’ experience in Govt./ Semi-Govt./State Govt/UT/Autonomous Organization/ PSU and
have Proficiency in Computer Operation are eligible to apply. Age Limit is 27 years, relaxed up to five years or total length of service rendered for NIFT employees.
ASSISTANT (FINANCE & ACCOUNTS) : The eligibility criteria for this post is candidates must completed Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce with two years’ experience Or Master’s Degree in Commerce with one year experience, also must have working knowledge of accounting software. Age Limit is 27 years, relaxed up to five years or total length of service rendered for NIFT employees.
ASSISTANT WARDEN (Female) : Those who have completed Graduate from a recognized University/ Institution with One year experience as Assistant Warden are eligible to apply. Maximum age Limit is 27 years, relaxed up to five years or total length of service rendered for NIFT employees.
MACHINE MECHANIC : The applicants must have done ITI Diploma (at least one year duration) as fitter or in maintenance of machines with one year experience Or have Certificate (at least six months duration) from ITI as Fitter or its equivalent with three year experience. Maximum age Limit is 27 years, relaxed up to five years or total length of service rendered for NIFT employees.
LIBRARY ASSISTANT: The educational qualification required is Graduate with diploma in Library Science OR Bachelors’ Degree in Library Science, must have at least one year working experience in Library. Maximum age Limit is 27 years, relaxed up to five years or total length of service rendered for NIFT employees.
JUNIOR ASSISTANT : Those who have Passed 10+2 examination or its equivalent ,must posses typing speed of 30 w.p.m in English or 25 w.p.m.
in Hindi, must have Computer proficiency, Candidates who have done diploma in Computer shall be given preferred. Maximum age Limit is 27 years, relaxed up to five years or total length of service rendered for NIFT employees.
LAB ASSISTANT (FD, FC & IT): For FD ( Fashion Design), the eligibility criteria is 10 + 2 plus Diploma/ Certificate of 3 years duration in
cutting & Tailoring / Dress Designing with 03 years of experience 10th + Diploma/Certificate of 03 years duration with 5 years of experience. For FC ( Fashion, applicants must complete Graduate and Should have one year Certificate/ Diploma in Photography. For IT (Information Technology), the education qualification required is Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Application / B.Sc. (Computer Science), Knowledge of Graphics, Multimedia software and
Garment CAD and have 1-2 years working experience is desirable.
DRIVER : Educational Qualifications & Experience required are 10th class pass, driving license for two wheeler/three-wheeler/Light Motor Vehicle/Heavy
Motor Vehicle, at least 2 years’ experience, conversant with traffic regulations and able to read and write in Hindi and English. Maximum age Limit is 27 years, relaxed up to five years or total length of service rendered for NIFT employees.
MULTI TASKING STAFF (MTS) : Those who have completed 10th class from a Board or its equivalent recognized by the Government can apply. Age Limit is 27 years, relaxed up to five years or total length of service rendered for NIFT employees.
