Application form for free sewing machine – Govt scheme

As we know, the central government has already launched a variety of relief schemes for people across India who are economically backward. One of the most important schemes is the Pradhan Mantri Free Sewing Machine Yojana. This is a scheme announced recently and will get benefit for women the most. Under this scheme, 50,000 women across every state will have access to sewing machines free of cost.

Under this scheme, sewing machines are made available to women from economically backward families in rural areas. The age limit to apply for this scheme is between 20 years and 40 years. Women with disabilities and widowed women will have special consideration. The annual income of the husband or family of the applicant applying under this scheme shall not exceed Rs 12,000.

How to apply for free sewing machine scheme

• Visit the official website of the Free Silaai Machine Yojana (www.india.gov.in. )
• On the homepage, click on the ‘Apply for Free Sewing Machine’ option.
• An application form page can be viewed on the screen in PDF format. Take a print out of the same and fill in the required information (name, father,/husband’s name, date of birth).
• After filling the details, please add the photograph along with your application form and submit all the documents to the concerned office. For this, you can approach the Office of the Social Welfare Department and the Block Development Office.
• The officer will conduct a scrutiny of the information provided by you in the documents. After checking, you will be given a free sewing machine.
