by Profile verification like in Twitter, Meta has announced its subscription-based verification system for social media platforms like Facebook and Instagram. This verification is available for both iOS and Android users. Now you can get verified on Instagram and Facebook with Meta Verified, a subscription-based verification system. This verification requires a government ID. This verification process protects subscribers from fraudsters and provides account support.
According to reports from the organization, account support is currently only available in English, but will be expanded to Hindi in the coming months. The price for Meta Verification is 699 rupees per month for Android and iOS users in India. The company has reported that it’ll soon be accessible on the network for a monthly fee of Rs 599 in India.
Eligibility criteria : Those who are at least 18 years old are eligible to receive the Meta Verified subscription.
Steps to follow for the verification:
- Step 1 : First select the social media platform (instagram/facebook) you want to get verified.
- Step 2 : Select the profile you want to check.
- Step 3 : Go for the payment method. (If your account cannot be verified, the amount paid will be refunded.)
- Step 4 : Provide an official ID and a selfie video to confirm your identity. (ID must match the profile name and account photo)
Once your profile has been verified, the user will not be able to change their username or date of birth on the profile. If you want to change any details, you will need to go through the Meta Verified signup and verification process again. Meta retains the verification badge for accounts that were verified before Meta Verified was launched. Currently, only individual profiles can sign up for Meta Verified. Company profiles are not eligible.
