The increasing amount of pedestrian traffic has posed a threat to this huge building. Still we cannot blame people for wanting to see the Taj as it is itself a timeless beauty. Taj Mahal was built by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in the 1658 period. He built this magnificent tomb in the loving memory of his wife, the Persian Princess Mumthaz Mahal who passed away at the age of 16 while giving birth to the Emperor’s fourteenth child. Shah Jahan who could not recover from the loss of his beloved put his entire grief into the design and construction of the Taj Mahal.
Situated in the southern bank of the Yamuna river, the monument was by more than 20,000 artisans for over a decade. The white marble stones on Taj Mahal are encrusted with details of flower carved from precious stones. During Covid-19 lock down, when tourism was completely shut, many people lost their travels. Google, the one stop solution for everything came up with an innovative idea for those who were disappointed of not travelling. Google came up with Virtual Reality System through which people could travel to the Taj Mahal virtually.
